It’s August and we are well into the summer season. This month’s days are still long and usually hotter than the months before and the months to come.
Depending on your circumstances the summer has been packed with music, camping, friends, festivals and parties. Or maybe it’s been filled with summer camps, water fights, children screaming and gardening. Or a little of both;) Either way the heat of the sun and the splendour of the season can be taxing and you may be feeling fatigued and low on energy.
If you’re in need of a cold pick me up then look no further! This chocolatey, cold use of this superfood will cool you down and give you that extra boost of energy to keep enjoying your summer!
1 cup nut mylk ( I used almond mylk)
1-2 tablespoon cacao powder
1 teaspoon maca
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoon real maple syrup
Put all ingredients in blender and blend until mixed
Add ice to glass
Pour maca mylk over ice
