Goldenseal Root Powder - Wild Harvested
1 teaspoon in an infusion or decoction, or 1-3 drops as a tincture. Not to be consumed in large doses, or for longer than 2 weeks.
Belonging to the Buttercup Family, goldenseal root is a perennial bush that is found primarily in eastern Canada and United States. It was traditionally used by the Cherokee Indians to treat ulcers and arrow wounds. The main constituents include alkaloids, resin, albumin starch, fatty resins, sugar and a small amount of volatile oils which give the plant its fragrance.
