More Information
Belonging to the Buttercup Family, goldenseal root is a perennial bush that is found primarily in eastern Canada and United States. It was traditionally used by the Cherokee Indians to treat arrow wounds. The main constituents include alkaloids, resin, albumin starch, fatty resins, sugar and a small amount of volatile oils which give the plant its fragrance.
