Honey - Raw
Wild flower harvested from Vancouver Island. Unpasteurized.
Add to baked goods, granola, or tea. Can be used as a natural sweetener or substitute for sugar.
Honey is made by bees collecting the nectar of flowers and naturally processing it through an enzymatic action that occurs in their stomachs. The ancient Egyptians, Chinese, Greeks, and Romans used honey to treat wounds and diseases of the intestine. It is now widely used for its therapeutic effects, to help soothe coughs and colds, and alleviates sore throats. Honey has powerful antibacterial properties and provides strength and energy to our bodies by assisting with digestion and maintaining a healthy immune system. It contains a variety of vitamins and minerals, amino acids, flavonoids, phenolics, peptides, organic acids, and enzymes. Harmonic Arts carries 100% natural Vancouver Island honey.
**PLEASE NOTE: Natural crystallization can occur in unpasturized honey. To re-liquidify your honey, heat the jar gently in a pot of water on low. To maintain the honey as a "raw" product do not heat above hive temperatures (90°F/32°C).
