Mesquite - Organic
Mesquite powder has a sweet but nutty taste, and can be used as a flour or sweetener, and can be added to tea, smoothies, elixirs, juice or water. Mesquite makes a great addition to baking, especially cookies, pancakes and raw chocolate treats.
Mesquite seeds were eaten for centuries by indigenous people of the southwestern United States and parts of South America. Traditionally they were prepared by crushing the pods and then grinding the seeds into a powder.
