Recommended Use: Traditionally used in herbal medicine to aid digestion and to help relieve flatulent dyspepsia.

How To Use

Our Tincture Blends can be added to water, or incorporated into tea, smoothies, or mocktails to boost the functional benefits.

Duration of Use: For occasional use only. If symptoms persist beyond 2 weeks, consult a health care practitioner.

Recommended Dose: Adults: 4ml 3-4 times/day
Take 15-20 minutes before meals.

Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are breastfeeding,if you have a peptic ulcer, gallstones, a gall-bladder disease, excess stomach acid, a bleeding disorder, asthma, constipation, a gastro-intestinal disorder, or iron deficient anaemia. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, ultraviolet light (UV) or UV therapy.

Contraindications: Do not use if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family, or to anethole or plants of the Apiaceae/Carrot family, if you are pregnant, if you have a bile duct or intestinal obstruction, or if you have hypokalemia, anaemia, high blood pressure, a kidney or cardiovascular disorder, or if you have acute stomach irritation, inflammation, and stomach or duodenal ulcers, or if you have allergies to acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) or other salicylates, or if you have heard disease, low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorder, diabetes, or edema (swelling of hands, face and feet), or if you are taking products containing diuretics. Do not use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or other medications with may aggravate electrolyte imbalance.

Known Adverse Reactions: May cause nausea or abdominal complaints, in which case discontinue use. See a doctor immediately if you develop dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heartbeat, or difficulty breathing.

Why not use distilled water?

Our Tincture Blends are made with purified natural spring water. Distilled water doesn’t contain any essential properties, and so we use spring water to infuse beneficial minerals into every tincture.

Are your products safe for kids to use?

We recommend speaking with your health care practitioner before adding any new herbs to your family’s wellness routine. Our products are crafted for adults as some of the ingredients may not be suitable for children.

Can any of the Tincture Blends be taken together?

Our Tincture Blends can be taken together. We recommend working with your health care practitioner before combining herbal formulas to determine what will work best for your wellness needs.

Can Tincture Blends be taken long-term?

Each of our Tincture Blends have their own recommended duration of use where applicable. We recommend speaking with your health care practitioner to determine a duration of use that aligns with your wellness needs.

How long do you macerate your herbs for?

On average, we macerate our herbs for about 8 days. The maceration times and liquid ratios vary between herbs, and we process them according to their individual chemistry.

What is cane alcohol? How much alcohol is found in a Tincture Blend?

Cane alcohol is made from fermented and distilled sugar cane. The majority of our Tincture Blends contain only 38% alcohol by volume. This means that 1 mL of the tincture would contain about 0.38 mL of alcohol. To learn the alcohol content of a specific Tincture Blend, please contact help@harmonicarts.ca.

What does it mean if your product has an NPN number on it?

Many of our products have a Natural Product Number (NPN). This means that the product is registered as a Natural Health Product (NHP) and the health claims we’re making about the product have been reviewed and approved by Health Canada.
