Our therapeutic Tincture Blends are handcrafted on Vancouver Island and packed with high-quality, potent ingredients. Distilled in organic cane alcohol, these bioavailable formulas provide support for immunity to stress relief, and everything in between. Our 50ml and 100ml bottles come with a dropper top for easy dosing, while our 500ml bottles feature a screw cap for larger quantities.

Recommended Use: This formula acts as a hepatoprotection, cholagogue and choleretic. In Herbal Medicine, Milk Thistle is used to support and protect the liver, and turmeric to increase bile excretion, stimulate the gallbladder, and provide antioxidants.

How To Use

Our Tincture Blends can be added to water, or incorporated into tea, smoothies, or mocktails to boost the functional benefits.

Recommended Dose: Adults: 5 mL, 3 times per day, in warm water 20 minutes before meals. Use for at least 3 weeks. Consult a health care practitioner for prolonged use. 

Cautions and Warnings: If you have an auto-immune disorder, stomach ulcers or excess stomach acid, gallstones, or gallbladder diseases and/or intestinal obstruction, consult a health care practitioner prior to use. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. 

Contraindications: Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a bile duct obstruction, or if allergic to plants of the Daisy family; or if you have a heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorder, diabetes, edema, or if taking products containing diuretics. 

Known Adverse Reactions: Discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, nausea, fever or vomiting, a laxative effect, or a hypersensitivity reaction. Stop use and seek immediate medical attention if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat and/or difficulty breathing.

I've used this off & on, the combination of ingredients & quality seem excellent, I do believe it was helpful in my recovery from fatty liver disease. Wanted to mention, based on another review, that I think the Oregon grape (Berberis aquifolium, Root) which is a source of berberine, might cause some people to have low blood sugar, so some should use it with caution, & pay attention to that.

I love this formula and all the herbs in it. I gave it a 4 because I'm doing a cleanse right now and using this formula with it, and because of other health issues I have, I am experiencing low blood sugar symptoms taking it together with an intense cleansing diet. On stopping the herbs I'm feeling better. Which is surprising to me because I am also a (practical) herbalist and love all things herbal. With my age, my health and the intensity of the cleansing diet, it was just too much. I will work with this formula again later when I'm not doing an intense diet plan as well and see how I do with it.

I'm not exactly sure if it was this tincture, the 5 mushroom blend or a combo of both as I started taking both. My LDL has always been high enough to get a doctor's wagging finger. Last test 3.9. Took both mushroom and tincture 10 days prior to the blood tests. Now the LDL is 3.0. Wow. HDL also improved. I will continue.

Why not use distilled water?

Our Tincture Blends are made with purified natural spring water. Distilled water doesn’t contain any essential properties, and so we use spring water to infuse beneficial minerals into every tincture.

Are your products safe for kids to use?

We recommend speaking with your health care practitioner before adding any new herbs to your family’s wellness routine. Our products are crafted for adults as some of the ingredients may not be suitable for children.

Can any of the Tincture Blends be taken together?

Our Tincture Blends can be taken together. We recommend working with your health care practitioner before combining herbal formulas to determine what will work best for your wellness needs.

Can Tincture Blends be taken long-term?

Each of our Tincture Blends have their own recommended duration of use where applicable. We recommend speaking with your health care practitioner to determine a duration of use that aligns with your wellness needs.

How long do you macerate your herbs for?

On average, we macerate our herbs for about 8 days. The maceration times and liquid ratios vary between herbs, and we process them according to their individual chemistry.

What is cane alcohol? How much alcohol is found in a Tincture Blend?

Cane alcohol is made from fermented and distilled sugar cane. The majority of our Tincture Blends contain only 38% alcohol by volume. This means that 1 mL of the tincture would contain about 0.38 mL of alcohol. To learn the alcohol content of a specific Tincture Blend, please contact help@harmonicarts.ca.

What does it mean if your product has an NPN number on it?

Many of our products have a Natural Product Number (NPN). This means that the product is registered as a Natural Health Product (NHP) and the health claims we’re making about the product have been reviewed and approved by Health Canada.
